Who we are
AWARE: Focus & App Blocker ("AWARE") is an iPhone app made by Awakened Leads LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information AWARE and this website handle, why, who else is involved, and the choices you have. It applies to the AWARE app, AWARE support, and this website.
Questions or requests: email awakenedleads369@gmail.com.
Information that stays on your iPhone
AWARE works without an account, and its practice data is stored on your device, in AWARE's app storage and its shared iOS App Group container (used so the Screen Time extensions and widgets can read your boundaries). We don't operate a server that receives this data. It includes:
- Boundaries: your boundary names, schedules (Always, Session, Night), daily limits, and the Apple Screen Time selection tokens for the apps, categories, and websites you chose.
- Practice history: focus sessions, breathing resets, returns to the moment, and related timing.
- Things you type: intentions and reflections you choose to write. Avoid writing sensitive information; it stays on your device either way.
- Settings and app state: reminder times, sound and display preferences, onboarding progress, Daily Wisdom progress, when to show Apple's rating prompt, and a cached copy of your Premium status so Premium keeps working offline.
- Onboarding answers: your goals, when the scroll tends to catch you, your daily phone-time estimate, and your bedtime and wake time, used to suggest your first boundary and Sleep Boundary.
- Grove, Outside, and Expeditions: your Grove's growth, the time-outside sessions you start, and your progress along each expedition.
- Sky moments: the place you choose for sunrise, sunset, and moon times, picked from a list or set from your time zone. AWARE never uses GPS.
- Free-trial reminder: the trial's end date and the price line used to schedule the reminder on your iPhone.
- Tone preview: whether you've played today's free tone preview.
None of this leaves your device.
Screen Time. Apple controls the Screen Time (Family Controls) permission and the picker you use to choose apps and websites. Apple returns opaque tokens that let AWARE apply your boundaries without revealing which apps you use or what you see. AWARE doesn't receive your browsing history, app content, or Screen Time usage reports, and this data never leaves your device through AWARE. As Apple's rules require, Screen Time data is used only to provide the boundaries you set. It's never shared beyond you and your device, never used for advertising or ad measurement, and never sold or given to data brokers.
Backups. Because this data lives on your device, it can be included in your own iCloud or computer backups of the iPhone, under Apple's terms. AWARE doesn't sync it anywhere else.
Service providers
A few companies process limited information so AWARE can sell Premium, deliver updates, and answer support. They process it under their own terms and privacy policies, and we use only what's needed for the purposes below.
| Provider | What it processes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Your Apple ID, payment, and purchase details; App Store ratings and reviews you choose to leave. | To sell and bill subscriptions, handle refunds, and run the App Store. We never receive your card details. |
| RevenueCat | An anonymous customer ID created by AWARE, Apple receipt and transaction information, purchase history, subscription status, basic device and app details, and timestamps. | To show plans, confirm purchases, unlock and restore Premium, and prevent fraud. We don't give RevenueCat your name or email. |
| Expo (EAS Update) | A randomized installation ID, platform, runtime and app version, update channel, IP address, and update logs and error diagnostics. | To check for and securely deliver compatible app updates, and to troubleshoot them. |
| Google (Gmail) | Your email address and anything you include when you email support. | To read and answer your message. |
| Website hosts (currently Cloudflare and Vercel) | Standard request data such as IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. | To deliver our web pages securely and reliably. |
We work only with providers whose terms commit them to protect this information at least as well as this policy does, and to use it only to provide their service. None of them may use AWARE data to advertise to you. These providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.
Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone. AWARE doesn't use push notification tokens or send your data to a notification server. Sharing happens only when you choose to share something through the iOS share sheet.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites, AWARE doesn't ask for Apple's tracking permission, and we don't allow third parties to collect information about you across sites or over time through AWARE or this website.
- AWARE doesn't use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- AWARE doesn't request your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photo library, or Apple Health data.
- We don't use Screen Time data for any purpose other than applying the boundaries you set, on your device.
If a future version adds a feature that needs a new kind of data (for example, Motion & Fitness for an optional step check), iOS will ask your permission first and we'll update this policy before the feature is released.
Keeping and deleting information
- On your iPhone: data stays until you change or delete it (for example, by deleting a boundary or turning off reminders) or delete AWARE. Deleting AWARE removes its app data from the device, apart from copies in your own backups.
- Support email: usually deleted or de-identified within 24 months after your request is closed, unless we need it longer for security, a dispute, or a legal obligation.
- Providers: Apple, RevenueCat, Expo, Google, and our website hosts keep records for the periods their own policies set, or as needed for purchases, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Security
We protect information with reasonable safeguards, keep what we hold to a minimum, and rely on Apple's device security for data on your iPhone. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Reminders: turn them off in AWARE's Settings or in iOS Settings > Notifications > AWARE.
- Screen Time access: revoke it any time in iOS Settings > Screen Time. Boundaries stop working until you allow it again.
- Premium: manage or cancel in iOS Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
- Everything on your device: delete AWARE.
Requests. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, or object to or restrict certain uses. We offer these to everyone, wherever they live. Email awakenedleads369@gmail.com. Because AWARE has no account, we may need details such as the email you wrote from or an Apple transaction ID to find the records we or our providers hold. We'll respond within the time the law requires (for example, 45 days under California law), and we won't treat you differently for making a request. You can also use an authorized agent where the law allows. You don't have to give us any personal information to use AWARE, and AWARE makes no automated decisions about you.
California residents. In the past 12 months we have handled these categories of personal information, only for the purposes described above: identifiers (an anonymous RevenueCat ID, installation ID, IP address, email if you write to us), commercial information (purchase and subscription records), and internet or device activity (update and web request logs). We have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we don't use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Awakened Leads LLC is the controller. We process information to provide AWARE and Premium you asked for (contract), to keep updates and our pages secure and working (legitimate interests), to answer you (legitimate interests or your request), and to meet legal obligations. You can access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your information, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you gave (for example, by turning off notifications). Information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, with safeguards our providers offer such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
AWARE isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example through a support email, contact us and we'll delete it.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising, or third-party scripts, and doesn't load fonts or images from other sites. Its hosts process standard request data as described above. Because we don't track visitors, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal. Links to the App Store take you to Apple, whose privacy policy applies there.
Changes and contact
We'll update this policy when AWARE or our providers change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll tell you in the app or another appropriate way before it takes effect.
